Risk of closure for Rodasia
Rodasia (http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Rodasia/180/80/23) is at risk of closure:
the land that houses in Second Life the project Art&Mente (literally: Art & Mind), a non-profit group of freelance creative who don't promote any affirmation in artistic field but that has hosted several art events and whose members have repeatedly taken part in art fairs in Second Life, has to decide whether to renew the payment of fees (7862 Linden per week, or 31,448 linden a month) which will expire next May 4, 2011.
Art&Mente, in which participate actively Ale Benelli, Baby Pooley, Bruco Sartre, Calix Demina, Elle Ellsmere, GiuliaTess Kaestner, Hung Mung and Lapsus Weinstein (aka Danilo Curci), had on hand at the beginning of April 4500 and has collected some linden thanks to voluntary subscription. Lapsus has then paid more 4500 lindens, extending the lease of land to be in early May, but in an email to the group, re-launched on Facebook, states:
"We are 8 to rez and fractionation (the land, LmS) we could do it with 4,000 Linden per month for each or so. But I wonder and I ask you: it's worth it? Are you using the sim? Otherwise I would ask those who currently security to let me know if you think it is better to leave Rodas, given the economic crisis, and beyond, which affects all".
By adding a comment that if Art&Mente, a meeting point in the net of the Centro Mimir, which wanted to be an open door to listen to 24/24 and also to show how one can deal with the hardships of daily life, old age, illness, creating freely, together, will have to abandon Rodasis, the group "will continue to exist without their own land, anywhere in SL. But if anyone thinks that it is worth to continue, make now a small donation".
