Italians at SL8B
Second Life celebrated its eight birthday (SL8B) and for a week, June 20 to 26, in which hundreds of events and installations have animated the 30 sims (half of which are reserved for the more than 500 stands set up by users of SL) provided by Linden Lab to celebrate the event with a full calendar of events around the theme “the magic of Second Life” (the most importantcan be found here). Among Japanese, American, British, German proposals and so on, this year there has been a rich Italian participation, both in the arts (from Solkide Auer to Giovanna Cerise, from Nessuno Myoo to Kikka Igaly not to forget of Shellina Winkler, Merlino Mayo, Pallina60 Loon and Simotron Aquila) and in the fashion field.
In this last area we want to point the installation “There was tomorrow...” created by the group The Italian Taste (which has its own blog and its own group on Flickr), formed by Italian brands Les Petit Details, Solidea Builder folies, Wap Design, Italica Interior design and AD Creations. Aunique logo that brings together different Italianscontent creators, however, each of which maintains his/her own peculiarities and creations, to show that in e-commerce of contents created by users of virtual worlds like Second Life you can collaborate too, even among Italians (which is not so obvious after the many failures recorded in the recent past from previous attempts).
“There was tomorrow...”, explain its promoters, “is our way of live and see SL: be creative and live in Second Life is one of the ways in which “live” tomorrow “,”is not a dream, maybe it’s a hope, but it is undoubtedly our everyday life in the metaverse”. As Italians “is natural for us to mix art and fashion, from the inhabitants of a wonderful country is our“natural” to think of the beauty of nature and landscape, the quality of a healthy life, and a recovery of a spiritual and civic“well-being” which is the primary search of man”. “As Second Life avatars, we love technology, imagination and the human exchange and creative this platform gives us daily. Our perfect world, our “There was tomorrow ...” should be composed of all these things together, art, inspiration, nature, love, sharing, high tech”. Words that Mondivirtuali.it / SLnn.it can only approve and share.
