Star Wars The Force Awakens will be in theaters in December 2015 but Star Wars (and sci-fi in general, accompanied by the stories of aliens and Ufos) fever is already at dangerous levels, the US and beyond, with consequences sometimes unforeseen. The Sims 4, for instance, has seen in these latest weeks two “extra” very little terrestrial. First of all, to celebrate the Star Wars Day (May the 4th) Ea and Maxis/The Sims Studio added three new costumes to the game that can be selected for free. So you can turn your Sim (ie your avatar) in the Jedi Master Aayla Secura, or if you get seduced by the dark side of the force take on the appearance of the evil Darth Maul. Finally, if you feel confident you can put on the Mandalorian armor of the bounty killer Boba Feet. The three characters are added to the four already released always free for Halloween last year, i.e. Darth Vader, princess Leia, a rebel pilot (very similar to Luke Skywalker) and a Yoda of the size of a child Sim. If the Star Wars “cast” is increasingly present on The Sims 4 (which with the tool “Create a Sim” already gives users an almost unlimited range of possibilities), another expansion, this time for the not exactly cheap sum of 40 dollars, “Get to Work”, releaset March 31 (the Italian version, “Al lavoro!”, was announced to be released in April), hybrid of two expansions already very popular in The Sims 3, “Ambitions” and “Open for Business!”, allows users to create and manage their own shop and have their own careers of nearly any kind. If for you is not enough the idea of making the shopkeeper, the doctor, the policeman or the scientist, “Get to Work” reintroduces the possibility of experiencing an “alien abduction”, as already possible in The Sims, The Sims Bustin’ Out, The Sims 2, The Sims 2 (console) and The Sims 3: Seasons. So far as a result of such kidnappings a female Sim could give birth to an alien baby, but with the new expansion a spiteful bug introduced an unexpected chance: that give birth to the half-breeds can also be a male Sim. In short, may the force be with you, but be careful not to give too much confidence to unknown aliens, male or female who are your Sims, unless you really want to experience the joys of an alien (in every sense) motherhood, which judging by the number of cases of abductions and of pregnant Sims, also males, seems not completely ruled out.
