Venk, aka Stephen Venkman, is one of the “historical” resident of the Second Life platform, where he has been present since 2006 and where the artist, that this week we decided to select as our graphic dreamer, has had the opportunity to shine as a photographer, shape maker, artist and events coordinator. Extremely helpful person, he says of himself: “I enjoy meeting new people, explore the grid, spending time with friends and family. Do not be shy and say hello! And if you have any questions about my work please do not hesitate to ask”.
To be true, as usual, I preferred not to ask anything to the artist, but trust my instincts in selecting some of the work that I personally found most interesting, but I recommend you all to go and visit the Venk’s gallery on Koinup.com so make yourself a more comprehensive idea of his capabilities.
Venk is an artist with a decided graphical sign, who love bright colors and contrasts, both that is dedicated to the portrait as with Ray or that adresses landscapes such as Arcana Nuevo or even that he experiences abstract themes as Absorption. The interesting thing is that Venk’s work is not limited to the creation of pictures, but can get to the creation of new “characters” as with Duffney then regularly put on sale on the platform of Linden Lab. Which for an artist who frequents the virtual worlds is perhaps the most relevant way to experiment with new forms of art that truly put the avatar as a new subject in the center of the scene.
