Vesuviocamp starts

VesuviocampAnother event in Naples to discuss new technologies and share experiences and opinions about: Francesca Ferrara (aka Capriccio Kaniuk in Second Life) with her Progetto Campania 2.0 after Sentieri Digitali organizes June 5 at the first edition of Vesuviocamp at the Piovani classroom of the University Federico II Naples from 9 to 15 am (http://barcamp.org/VesuvioCamp). Two formulas with which participants can discuss their projects: the talk sessions (15 minutes including 10 minutes for presentation and 5 for questions and answers) and the ignate sessions (5 minutes presentation). The theme of the barcamp are the digital paths of culture and innovation and there will be no less than fifteen barcamper to speak, about half of those who at May 30 appeared to have already booked to attend the event that as any barcamp does not provide an “audience” but only active participants in one or more threads.

Vesuviocamp Imparafacile Giovanni Dalla BonaFor the event I will be among the speakers and try to explain what is changing in terms of corporate communication with web2.0 and virtual worlds, pointing to challenges and opportunities for Italian content creators and trying to draw an initial conclusion of a speech launched first at the meeting at the Ubik Library last March 24 for Sentieri Digitali and second at the evening organized May 10 in Second Life in the land of Imparafacile. But besides myself will be present among the others some “players behind the avatars” well known to resident of Second Life, as Giovanni Dalla Bona (aka Imparafacile Runo, in the photo), Viviana Capraro (aka Yaia Nishi) or Ivonne Citarella (aka Baby Pooley) and many bloggers and other innovators of Italian web (I will mention only one, Caterina Policaro a “multitasking girl in a multitasking world” as she wrote in her blog http://www.catepol.net).

I would tell you more, but apart from that you can find more on the net in various sites and blogs (and of course on http://barcamp.org/VesuvioCamp where you find all the details of the day), I prefer to think that will be so many coming to see and listening, asking questions, taking notes or ask questions. So cya next Saturday, that you are passionate about virtual worlds, web2.0 or simply curious about the changes that technology is bringing into our daily lives and our job prospects (and fun, of course).
